My Magical Morning Routine

I have always been a morning person – but my life got so much better when I started having a morning routine.

I use my best energy for what’s most important to me, and my energy peaks at the start of the day; declining steadily until it’s time for bed.

I’m intentional about what I put first because those first hours are my golden hours, and by placing things there, I’m saying they’re my top priority.

Other people wake up at 4am and head straight to their computer to start work (I saw a Reel of someone sharing this the other day), but my first priority is me… and my spiritual connection.

So, the first thing I do is walk past my office and pull an oracle card while I’m there, from the Pass Around The Smile deck (a podcast episode where I interviewed the creator of this deck is linked here)

I go downstairs and make my husband a coffee. I used to be a barista and making hot drinks feels like making potions to me!

I bring it up to him, turn on the light and give him a kiss – he always has to have a kiss with his coffee.

Then, my routine really begins. I start journalling, which is where all of the magic happens…

I manifest, I say the affirmations that are rewiring my subconscious mind, and I’m excited for things that are coming.

I give the Universe a “to do” list item and then start writing about what it’s like living in my future (future scripting) with “It is done” vibes.

I end with affirmations that are always “I am” statements.

It’s these affirmations that build up over years and become your reality.

I speak them out loud after I’ve written them, to make them more real.

I reflect on what I wrote on the day / or days before.

I put my journal away by saying “And so it is. And so it is. And so it is.”

I then start reading some of my book. Always non-fiction, and a few pages hardly make a dent in the 2 piles of books I’ve got stacked high beside my bed. I just finished a book about FRIENDS today!

Wordle is the other thing I have to do every morning… my streak is always killer 💅🏼 and I’ve been playing it for 860 days.

I might also go into the Akashic Records and I have a journal specifically for this. I have so much going on in my stationary life – a journal, notepad and diary for everything! Keeping organised makes me so happy.

I go over my day and create a to do list.

I might exercise here, or will sometimes have a 10am call. I only have a few calls a week – and they are often in the afternoons or evenings due to the different time zones & Americas waking up.

I eat breakfast at 9am and try to wait until 8am to have my first coffee – but I’ve been bad at that recently. Most days I only have one caffeinated, unless I need a particularly strong boost and in that case I’ll have two.

I don’t really have an order that I do things, except that I know I should really be prioritising content first. The most creative juices need to go into the most important part of your business.

Watch out for tech use too, as going online straight away sends a big dose of cortisol shooting through you, especially if you see something that urgently needs your attention.

The most important thing is that you start your day feeling clear, connected and powerful.

What do you need to make you feel most in charge and awake? What should your top priorities be? What do you want to start your day with – as you take your most aligned next steps into your future?

Your mornings are where you inject your day with magic. Make sure your days start with a rhythm that makes you excited to get out of bed ☕
