  • How To Sell Using Your Own Personal Story

I love telling my clients that their story is their own brand of secret sauce – because I know without exception that everybody has one.

If you’re reading this, then you have benefitted from things; learned things; and had failures which have turned into important lessons. When you’re willing to share these, they can be hugely valuable for someone else, and then you have given value through your business without any extra work.

You have already been busy living your story, so it’s nothing that you need to create.

You simply have to share it.

By using this free and extremely powerful tool, you can touch people’s lives, sell your services with ease, and be 100% energetically behind your marketing because you’ve actually experienced the positive impact of what you’re selling.

These tips will help you to sell more using your own personal story ↓

Isn’t this what you’re really selling, anyway?

People are buying the “after” version of themselves and how they’re going to feel, look, and think as a result of their investment. It’s your own transformation from using what you’re selling which will inspire them and create a compelling image that’s going to speak to their mind and soul.

The more colourful and detailed that you can make this image, the stronger its effect.

How you have changed yourself shows that it’s possible for others too. So, ask yourself: what has what I’m selling done for me?

Your results are already woven within your own story, and by sharing it you are crafting a personal advert through your own results. If you’re not the same person that you used to be, tell your audience why and what that process was for you.

The benefits that you’ve had and how you’ve changed might just be exactly what they’re looking for right now.

Your life is probably much easier now that you’ve implemented the transformation you’re selling… but did it used to be?

What was life like before? Because there’s a good chance it would resonate with where your ideal customer is right now.

Show that you understand how they’re feeling. Tell them when you’ve been there. Explain how it looked as part of your experience.

It’s your struggle that provides the proof in the pudding that your product or service actually works.

If your own story of struggle is over, this could be the exact solution that your clients need to get out of their own struggle.

In everyone’s story there is a defining moment: a turning point where a particular struggle finally becomes a thing of the past.

That deciding factor is usually a shift in mindset, an investment, or a new way of doing things; and it is always the result of a decision.

What was the deciding factor in going from your old life to your new one?

What moment became monumental in your personal tale of transformation? This split second could be the clincher that the person viewing your sales pitch is about to experience for themselves.

If we don’t decide to make a change then we’ll always stay the same – and if someone is thinking about investing in you, they’re teetering on the edge of that all-important decision.

Assure them that it’s the right one for them by telling them what it’s like to take the leap.

Aside from the big benefits of your story, there were probably lots of other tiny triumphs too. I call these the side wins.

When we massively uplevel in one part of our life, the energy overflows and affects other areas too. Energy is fluid like that – it can’t be contained once your overall vibration is swelling the tide.

This means that even if your goal was to invest in a coach to take your business to the next level, the energetic impact of that decision may also lead to you feeling more confident, more motivated and more committed – not just in your business, but in all areas of life.

These unexpected side wins can be equally as powerful as the main transformation, and they’re like a little Divine surprise to reward us for the effort that we’re putting in to improve ourselves.

Remember to note the side wins when you’re telling your story, as when you share every area that you’ve found benefits in, you might tick more than just one box for your customer.

Anything to do with marketing or selling your offering – spiritual or otherwise – becomes near impossible if you don’t believe in it.

I know that you believe in what you’re selling and hope there is potential for everyone who buys it, so trust yourself and your own gifts. This is especially true if you’re offering services! You simply must believe in yourself for other people to believe in you.

If that confidence doesn’t feel entirely accessible for you right now, then start practicing until it is. That energy of trust, faith and unshakeable belief will be magnetic to the souls who need it.

Your conviction is convincing to the people on the brink of investing in themselves through you. Know that your work is so important and align your message accordingly.

Your story has been set up for you to have the exact experiences that you need to do your soul-aligned work.

    ☽ ☆ ☾

I hope this makes you see that sharing your story is a simple, free and magical way to connect with your future customers.

You’ve had all of the experiences that you’re meant to have had by now, and they can all be useful in some way.

Tell people why you know what you do, and let them choose you for being you.

  • How Tarot Cards Work: The Fool’s Journey & Story of the Major Arcana

Tarot reading is an ancient divination practice imbued with arcane wisdom and astrological significance.

Only when you start reading the Tarot, do you realise the power of its messages to strike at the right time. Having done thousands of card readings over the last 14 years, I know that the cards have a voice and each one has a personality; its own vibration and story to tell.

The role of storytelling in Tarot is as important as the route on a map, it gets you from A to B: from question to answer for the person you’re reading for.

The most important story that you’ll need to learn if you want to read Tarot is The Fool’s Journey. This cyclical tale of expansion and contraction is what allows us to understand the point we’re at on our own journey, or where we’ll be arriving in the near future.

The Fool’s Journey is the chronological structure which has been woven through the 22 Major Arcana cards to represent –

    • important stages of our life
    • lessons which have a profound impact on us
    • and junctures that have the potential to completely change our path

By understanding the 22 steps of The Fool’s Journey, you can understand your own past, present and future through any Major Arcana cards which show up for you.

It begins with The Fool (0) starting off on a new journey feeling excited, inspired and free. However, he has no experience yet, so he’s unaware of the fact that he could be about to walk off the edge of a cliff! He is naive when it comes to this new pursuit, but his energy is high and he’s full of good intentions.

He feels like he has a new opportunity and he’s hopeful about his ability to create anything that he wants. He steps into a new mindset of being The Magician (1) of his own life, using everything that he has available to him (a cup, pentacle, sword, and wand) to create his dream reality. He believes in magic and knows that by co-creating with the Universe, anything is possible.

Through this exploration of his metaphysical ability, he meets The High Priestess (2) who shows up in our journey when we start to discover the physical and spiritual world on a deeper level. She is the gatekeeper of our intuition, and she welcomes The Fool into a world of esoteric knowledge and Divine wisdom. She teaches him that not everything which is real can be seen.

As he starts to question his path, his mother shows up as The Empress (3). She represents our connection with Mother Earth and embodies everything to do with our own fertility, nurturing ability and abundance. His father then appears as The Emperor (4) who sets rules and regulations to ensure that his path is safe and stable. He reminds The Fool of the importance of traditions and structures which can stand the test of time and help to keep him grounded while he navigates this new level of spiritual awakening.

The Fool looks for teachers who have gone before him to learn about spirituality in a more structured way, which is when he encounters The Hierophant (5). He starts being influenced by external cultures, societies and religions; and he is shaped by the teachers that he’s now learning from. After so long alone, he craves someone to go on this journey with and starts looking for a partnership. He discovers all of the joy that can come from a union as The Lovers (6), which is where he learns how to cooperate and find balance between his own masculine and feminine energies.

With everything The Fool has learned so far, he now understands how to be successful using willpower and discipline. He rides The Chariot (7) towards his goals and knows that he can achieve anything he wants with enough ambition and drive. He now possesses inner Strength (8) through the courage that he has developed over time on his journey. Through this strength he learns to tame the unfettered ambition that he had on The Chariot, knowing that sometimes battles are long; he grows more mature and starts to value self-control.

Having learned so much already, The Fool seeks solitude in order to go within and reflect on everything he has seen so far. He becomes The Hermit (9) and retreats to try and understand the meaning of why the world works this way. From his time away in isolation as The Hermit, he sees that everything connects and is divinely planned by the Universe.

He realises that the Wheel of Fortune (10) means things will happen exactly when they’re meant to and that we’re all subject to fate. This can be good or bad depending on which way the Wheel turns. However, he also knows that the Universe will bring balance to every action and that there will always be Justice (11). He learns to act with integrity because his actions will always have consequences. Justice brings balance into situations and resolution to legal matters; there is always the divine retribution of karma.

With this support system around him, he feels like he can surrender and pause. As The Hanged Man (12), he is safe to explore the world from different points of view because he knows that the Universe is always there to catch him. At this important stage, he experiences an ego Death (13) where the person that he thought he was falls away. His slate is wiped clean and he enters a whole new phase of his existence where new, more aligned opportunities have space to enter. After everything has been washed away, there is silence and peace. With Temperance (14), he learns to be patient and to find balance without constantly needing to pursue new things. There is not always a need for immediate action.

Following this pause, he tries to start moving forward again only to realise that he’s still shackled to his past – emotionally, physically or financially. This is limiting his expansion, so The Devil (15) forces him to look at where he is holding himself back and resisting letting go of what no longer serves him. The Tower (16) assists The Fool by shaking him loose from these attachments, using external forces out of his control. This feels terrifying – like the rug is being pulled out from under him – but it’s in his best interest! It’s a favour from the Universe to help set him free.

The light that illuminates this for him is The Star (17) which provides hope and a sense of renewal; this is the light at the end of the tunnel. The Fool feels inspired to start shining as his true self. However, its opposite – The Moon (18) – represents any fears and subconscious programming that may prevent him from enjoying this new state of bliss. Light casts a shadow and the shadow, in this case, is the old anxiety and fears which may rise to the surface when attempting to shine brightly as The Star.

Once he has worked through this old fear energy, his light expands and he becomes The Sun (19). He is completely renewed and in touch with his original soul’s purpose. He has nothing to hide from the world and he is not hiding anything from himself. He is in total alignment and illuminating the path forward for others as a result. As his old ego self is now completely shed, he can see his purpose clearly and knows what he is meant to be doing on Earth. Like a final Judgement (20), there’s no room for illusions or false identities. At last, he is rising up and answering his soul’s calling.

This is the end of the road for The Fool. He has mastered The World (21) and completed his journey. So many lessons have been learned and this chapter is closing once and for all. This is an amazing chance to celebrate all of his victories and everything that he’s accomplished, but like any cycle which closes fully – a whole new one begins and a new journey starts!

  • 5 Films With A Secret Spiritual Message

Have you ever watched a film and thought… there’s something deeper going on here?

This director must be spiritual AF!

    Well, I have.

Whether it was intended or not, there are films out there which convey a lot of the things that we often talk about in spirituality – like manifestation; fate & destiny; quantum leaping; and alternate timelines.

Over the years, I’ve made a note of some of these films and number 1 on this list is one of my favourite films of all time.

If you’re looking for a spiritual blockbuster to watch, try a film on this list and let me know if you have any others to add!

Yep, this is one of my favourite films ever… I used to have it on video!

In it, Bruce – played by Jim Carey – gets God-given powers to create (read: manifest) absolutely anything that he wants in his life.

He has total power to create his reality, which means that he must take full responsibility for every thought that he has and every decision that he makes.

It shows us how our individual lives are intertwined with everyone else’s and that our negative thoughts can have disastrous consequences; not only for us, but for the whole collective too.

This is one of my Saturday night go-to’s and I’ve watched it countless times. For a lighthearted comedy where God is Morgan Freeman, this one will help you to remember your own power.

This has got to be the most commonly referenced film in the spiritual world. People will usually quote the “red pill vs blue pill” choice that Neo has to make, but I took a different spiritual meaning from it.

Yes, the choice between pills is about the fact that you can decide to change your reality, because the main storyline is about how our seemingly solid reality is just a projection.

But, aside from these more blatant spiritual messages, the best one that I found was in the advice that Morpheus tells Neo during his role as the guide. “Don’t think you are, know you are“, he says to Keanu Reeves, as he lectures him about letting go of fear, doubt and disbelief in order to free his mind.

This piece about ‘knowing’ is vital for conquering the fear which often holds us back from going after our goals and having unshakeable belief – both crucial components of manifesting.

The Matrix also dabbles with the question of how much we can attribute to fate (through the character of The Oracle) and how much of our life is a result of our own free will.

Side note: I enjoyed the claim that Deja Vu is a glitch in The Matrix!

Have you ever known a grumpy old sod and thought that they’d be so much happier if only they would be grateful for what they already had?

Well, that’s pretty much what this film is about.

For ages, I knew that it was a popular Christmas film which regularly tops the ‘best Christmas films of all time’ lists, but I didn’t realise that it had a spiritual message!

Gratitude is so important for our energy, mind, soul and relationships. Without it, any of these things can easily slip away from us.

This legendary film is a classic for a reason, and gratitude is the main message that the Angels give to the leading man, George Bailey.

This is a very intense film which comes with a trigger warning at the start, and it’s another one of those like The Matrix which has multiple spiritual meanings…

At first glance, you’d be right in thinking that this film is about the existence of alternate timelines and that we have the ability to quantum leap between each one. Fate, destiny, and our input into each of these is also a lesson that the main character – played by Ashton Kutcher – has to grapple with.

However, there’s a prop that he always has with him regardless of which reality he’s in: his journal!

He uses his journals to travel through time and move his realities, and his journalling is what keeps him stable and sane through the confusion and psychotic episodes.

The main spiritual message of this film is an important one – that journaling holds the key to other dimensions and timelines.

You can learn all of my best tips for journaling in my other blog How To Start Journaling For Powerful Breakthroughs 🖋️

Now, this one I wouldn’t necessarily recommend watching unless you’re after some cosy night in on your own, chick flick entertainment. Gwenyth Paltrow’s faux English accent is dodgy to say the least!

But, similarly to The Butterfly Effect and The Matrix, this film is all about the existence of parallel timelines that we’re able to move between using our decisions. The choices that we make affect more than just that one outcome – they shift the whole path that lies before us.

Missing a single train impacts Gwenyth’s relationship, career, mental state and where she lives. This film reminds you not to doubt how powerful your decisions are, because they could change the rest of your life in a split second.

  • 5 Signs That You’re Going Through A Spiritual Awakening

When strangers slide into my DM’s, often it’s to talk about this – the weird and wonderful things which have started happening to them since they started becoming spiritually aware.

They’ll be different for everyone, but you can pretty much guarantee that it’s not going to look like the dreamy path to enlightenment that you’d once imagined. Cue the wheels of your life falling off while you’re plunged into a whole new perception of reality, without anyone there to hold your hand…

The good news is that you’re not the only one!

Everyone who’s gone through a spiritual awakening will understand how you’re feeling, which is why it’s so important to have a spiritual community around you and a Spiritual Coach if you want to develop your gifts or make a career out of them.

We never stop awakening, we just unlock new levels.

You’ll get more used to the process each time and the symptoms will become more subtle – like being thirsty, having headaches, and crazy dreams where you feel like your frequency is shifting while you sleep.

However, the initial stages of awakening usually feel the most profound and life-altering. If you’re going through any of these right now, know that you’re not alone and you’re not going crazy – you’re just going through your spiritual awakening!

    ⋆☽  You’re more sensitive to alcohol…  ☾⋆

    Or unhealthy food. Or drugs.

Our body is an amazing intuitive tool, and when you open up spiritually you’ll find that you can gain accurate insights about people and situations based on what you feel.

This sensitivity can be a wonderful thing to have as an extra spiritual sense, but it’ll make you hella sensitive to any intoxicants which aren’t good for your body.

If you’ve been feeling more sensitive to certain foods and drinks, it could be a physical symptom that you’re going through a spiritual awakening.

    ⋆☽  You’re in a hermit phase…  ☾⋆

Going through a spiritual awakening can be really overwhelming, especially if you aren’t aware that it’s happening. As your energy opens up and your intuitive antenna get more sensitive to your surroundings, you may feel an inexplicable urge to hide away for a while.

Maybe you want to spend more time than usual alone because you’re finding that groups and crowds drain your energy.

Your mind and body are trying to figure out how they’re going to navigate the world with your new found sensitivity, so going through a hermit phase is a key sign that you’re partway through an awakening.

⋆☽  Your favourite pastimes no longer appeal…  ☾⋆

If activities that you used to love – like shopping, partying or gaming – don’t appeal to you as much as they used to, it might be because of your spiritual awakening!

The intense shift that you’re experiencing can make other things seem dull and trivial in comparison.

How you’re changing on the inside might change what you like on the outside, as well as how you choose to spend your time. You could even regret how much time you used to spend on pastimes which weren’t progressing you in any way, and may have even been holding you back.

⋆☽  You feel different from friends and family…  ☾⋆

No matter how close you are with your friends and family, if you’re going through a spiritual awakening then it might be harder to connect with them.

Aside from the fact that you might be in a hermit phase, it can feel like you’re a different person now while no-one else has changed.

You might look around and notice that where you used to fit in perfectly, you’re now feeling like the odd one out. Yes, this can seem isolating, but you’re not alone and it’s a common symptom to have during a spiritual awakening.

    ⋆☽  You’re spiritually curious…  ☾⋆

What have you been Googling lately?

It’s common to want to learn more about spiritual topics such as being psychic, energy healing, near death experiences and the cosmos as you’re transitioning through an awakening.

The fact that you’ve read all the way to the end of this article is also a pretty big clue! People who haven’t experienced a spiritual awakening yet are very unlikely to be interested in learning about what it’s like to go through a spiritual awakening.

If you’re spiritually curious right now, your Google search history might be the final confirmation that you ARE in fact going through a spiritual awakening…

    ☽ ☆ ☾

It’s normal to feel afraid, confused and alone during your spiritual awakening but you will eventually adjust to life with your new heightened senses.

There are millions of other people out there going through the exact same thing, so your only job now is to find them!

I offer support and advice for people going through their awakening with my community and coaching services, so reach out if you’d like to work together and join my communities on Instagram & Facebook! ✨
